The ebTool functionality does not work for SAS Digital Marketing installations in a UNIX operating environment. This problem occurs because the EXECUTE flag is missing for both the owner and the group. This file is usually located in the path ...CONFIG/Lev1/Applications/SASCustomerIntelligence/SASDigitalMarketing/ebtool. This prevents ebTool from starting when you try to execute a broadcast through the tool.
The following note from the "Tools" section in the SAS® Customer Intelligence 6.1 Deployment Guide provides a way to work around this problem:
Note: On UNIX systems it may be necessary to modify the tools with the 'chmod' command to ensure execution permissions are available (i.e. chmod 755).
